Bangladeshis On The Move is a space dedicated to sharing the stories of Bangladeshis who are on the move and who have been so across generations.
The movement of Bangladeshis from one place to another is diverse, historic, and deeply contributive. From migrating abroad to returning home, and often migrating again to different parts of the world, these journeys reveal much more than labor migration or study abroad. They are stories of survival, adaptation, identity, and resilience that is shaped by different times, places, and personal contexts.
Yet, how often do these stories come to light in their full complexity? Too often, they are reduced to a few narrow, stereotyped narratives.
Bangladeshis On The Move seeks to challenge those limitations by exploring and amplifying the diverse experiences of Bangladeshi mobility. This platform brings these stories to fellow Bangladeshis and to the wider global community- honoring the many ways Bangladeshis have moved, lived, and contributed across the world.
